Staging Tips

  • If you have to maneuver around obstacles, like sofas, shelves or tables, it means they need to go.  It sends the wrong message that you don’t have enough room in your house.
  • Extension cords are no-nos because they scream inconvenience and they look like clutter.
  • With color, the most important thing is that it’s current.  However, neutral is always a good, safe bet.
  • Make any repairs to walls or floors before showing the house.
  • If you don’t have enough stuff, it’s not important to buy expensive accessories.  Instead, you can add touches like fresh flowers to spruce up your space.  The most important thing is to create an inviting space.
